Allu Arjun is a Tollywood film actor, who is an excellent dancer and a versatile actor best known for being the nephew of Mega Star Chiranjeevi and the son of producer Allu Aravind. Several members of his family are involved in the Telugu film industry. His father Allu Aravind is a producer. His grandfather Allu Ramalingaiah was a best comedy actor of his time.His uncles Power star Pavan Kalyan and Nagendra Babu are well know Tollywood stars. His cousin Ram Charan Teja is now a leading actor in Tollywood.
Allu arjun started his career as a child artist in the Film "Vijetha" and as a dancer in his uncle's movie "Daddy".Later he came on to big screen as a hero in the film Gangothri directed by star director "Ragavendra Rao", who took it as a prestigious project as it was his 100th film.It was a big hit running in 54 theaters for 100 days.
After the debut movie success Allu Arjun took a year gap to bring a fresh look on silver screen in his 2nd film Aarya. Allu Arjun had a typical look entirely different from his first movie transforming from the short traussers into absolutely awesome looking costumes. It gave a break for the director Sukumar as well as to Allu Arjun.
His third film Bunny was released.It’s a good hit for Allu Arjun.He had a hatrick of hits.In the movie, director V.V.Vinayak showed Allu Arjun as Stylish star.
His fourth film is Happy in which he acted as a Pizza Hut Boy directed by Karunakaran. Though the movie did not do well at box office, the movie has reached to youth because of the much humor it had. The story that went on between Allu arjun and Genelia is an extraordinary portrait of love shaped out of hatred. Karunakaran climax phobia continued in this movie also and this led the movie go average.
His fifth film, Desamuduru, directed by Puri Jagannadh, proved to be a box office hit and the first hit of the year in Tollywood. The movie grossed 6.58 crores in the first week of its release.
His sixth film Parugu, directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar, was released. The movie was another blockbuster in Allu Arjun's career.
Arjun had only one release, Arya 2, which had the same story line of the 2004 hit film Aarya, which also starred Arjun in the lead role.The film was a musical hit and Arjun's rocking steps drew entire Andhra Pradesh attention.
He did a mega budget movie named Varudu directed by Gunasekhar . This was released in 2010 and it was his third disappointment in his career.It had a budget of 18 crores. The blunder mistakes made by the director caused a lot to the film failure.
"Vedam" the multi starer movie directed by Krish fetched Allu Arjun South Indian Film Fare award for best actor.The film though did not do well at the box office was really a provoking movie.
His recent film was Badrinath which is a heavy budget movie.The movie collected lump-sum amount in the first two weeks grossing around 35 crores of rupees being the 2nd highest film next to Sallu bhai's "Ready" in Indian history.
Now a Allu Arjun is not only a super star in AP but his grace and craze has spread to Kerala where it is expected Allu Arjun to have more fans than in AP
Every year on his birthday he donates blood and meets physically and mentally challenged kids.
As a Singer
Allu Arjun debuted as a singer in Vedam by singing the song Prapancham Naventostunte.He proved his versatility as a singer too.
